Felician University Celebrates Black History Month with Exhibition and Author and Alumnus Monte Williams
RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician University marked Black History Month with an exhibition and talk which took place on Thursday, February 24 in Education Commons on the Rutherford campus. The event featured artwork of key moments in black history, as well as historical pictures.
The event was kicked off by Emmanuel R. Hankerson, president of the Black Students Union. He introduced Felician Alumnus, Monte Williams ’06 ’16, who offered advice and insight about the road to success. Mr. Williams stated, “Every experience in life has a purpose; you need to turn your back on distractions in order to be the better you.” Following his speech, he provided a copy of his latest book, Get in the C.A.R., to every attendee. The event concluded with a showcase of artwork by Felician students.
Mr. Williams is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of ALEU The Leadership Development Company. He is a successful executive coach, HR practitioner, author, and a two-time TEDx & International keynote speaker. He graduated from Felician University with his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Business Administration.
