Fitzpatrick Seeking Reelection to Atlantic County Freeholder Board
(LINWOOD) Atlantic County Freeholder-at-Large Caren Fitzpatrick today announced she is seeking re-election to the Atlantic County Freeholder Board.
“It has been an honor to serve the people of Atlantic County for the past two years,” said Fitzpatrick, a lifelong Atlantic County resident. “Serving as Freeholder has made me realize just how much I love Atlantic County. From our beautiful beaches to our farmland and everything in between, Atlantic County’s economy should be prospering but it isn’t. We need to continue to grow our economy, create jobs, and lower the property tax burden on our residents.”
Fitzpatrick was the highest vote-getter out of 5 Freeholder candidates in 2017. A longtime business executive and entrepreneur, Fitzpatrick is currently the Director of Finance and Administration at MeetAC, a nonprofit organization charged with bringing conventions and trade shows to Atlantic City. She lives in Linwood with her husband, Brian.
Fitzpatrick’s accomplishments on the Freeholder Board include holding the line on property taxes, encouraging more shared services, making Freeholder Board meetings more convenient and transparent for the public, and making county government more environmentally-friendly in order to combat climate change.
“I look forward to a spirited campaign this year,” said Fitzpatrick. “While one of my opponents has already begun to trash me, I believe that Atlantic County works best when we all work together, regardless of party affiliation. We are all in this together, and I look forward to meeting as many residents as possible in the coming months.”
