Flanagan Signs Taxpayer Protection Pledge

Flanagan: “I will say no to higher taxes and more spending.”

LAWRENCEVILLE – Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, Tricia Flanagan, announced today that she has signed Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) “Taxpayer Protection Pledge.” Flanagan met ATR President Grover Norquist last week at a meeting of the New Jersey Tuesday Group in Parsippany.

“Signing the Taxpayer Protection Pledge was a no brainer. It clearly states that I will oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses; and that I will oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates,” Tricia Flanagan said. “Clearly, as the tax and spend liberal he has become, Cory Booker would never agree to sign a pledge promising not to increase taxes.

“This is one more example of how Cory Booker and I differ, he’s so busy pandering to the radical left in his vanity presidential campaign that he can’t say no to higher taxes. As a mom, I know how to say no. Any mom will tell you, it’s not always easy to say no, but in Washington, unlike Cory Booker, I will say no to higher taxes.
