Former Hunterdon County Freeholder Candidate Paige Livingston Endorses Goutam U. Jois for Congress
(Summit, NJ) – Paige Livingston, who ran for Freeholder last year in Hunterdon County, endorsed Goutam U. Jois as the Democratic nominee for New Jersey 7th Congressional District race.
Livingston said Jois best represents the values of progressive voters in the district, and will help to bring in new voters to unseat incumbent GOP Rep. Leonard Lance.
“As a Democrat, I believe it’s important to elect people who best represent the party’s core – to fight for those who need a voice in Washington, and to ensure the well-being of all,” she said. “Goutam is the fighter we need, and will not compromise on his principles. We need him to be our voice. He’s the only candidate in the race with a two-decade record of advocating for gun violence prevention, he opposes President Trump’s illegal airstrikes in Syria, he’s defended and promoted women’s rights, and he’ll fight for health care for all. I’m proud to stand with Goutam.”
Jois, the former Youth Governor of New Jersey and the son of Indian immigrants, has earned praise from progressives for his campaign in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, particularly his willingness to stand up for Democratic values. To learn more, visit www.jois2018.com.
