FORMER NJ STATE SENATOR COLIN BELL ENDORSES MIKE BLOOMBERG
Bell touts gun safety and calls Mike the best candidate to defeat Donald Trump

TRENTON, NJ – Former New Jersey Democratic State Senator and Atlantic County Freeholder Colin Bell endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg. In his endorsement, Bell pointed to Bloomberg’s courage to take on the NRA, success creating jobs after the great recession, and his position as the best candidate to defeat Donald Trump.

“Mike Bloomberg is the best candidate to defeat Donald Trump. Here in Atlantic County we know best how much damage Donald Trump can inflict on a community and our nation. To defeat Trump we need a candidate who has taken on the tough fights and won because the stakes have never been higher. Mike took on the NRA and won reforms to reduce gun violence, while we faced slow job recovery from the great recession in Atlantic County, Mike led the way as Mayor of New York City creating over 500,000 jobs, the strongest economic recovery in the nation,” said Colin Bell, Former New Jersey State Senator and Atlantic County Freeholder. “Bloomberg is the only candidate to take on Donald Trump because he can expose his business failures and unlike Bernie Sanders, who voted against common sense gun safety, Mike can take on Trump and the NRA, and finally deliver comprehensive gun violence reform to protect the American people.”

“Colin Bell is a respected South Jersey voice who took on critical economic growth initiatives for Atlantic County and was a leader fighting for reform in county government. We are excited that he endorsed Mike Bloomberg as the campaign builds tremendous momentum in South Jersey,” said Michael Muller, the New Jersey State Director for Mike Bloomberg 2020.

The Bloomberg campaign is engaging with voters across New Jersey and building a strong grassroots network of support for the Democratic Primary in June.
