Former Roxbury Councilman Dan Kline Endorses Dawkins for Senate

ROXBURY, NJ — Former Roxbury Councilman Dan Kline has endorsed Cliff Dawkins for State Senate in the LD-25 Special Election. In 2015, Kline was the only Democratic pickup in Morris County, and became the lone Democrat on the Roxbury Council, as well as the youngest Councilman in Roxbury’s history.

“Cliff Dawkins is the leader we deserve representing us in Trenton”, Kline said. “We need an advocate who will prioritize people over politics. Cliff has a tremendous record of selfless service and is committed to fighting for a better future for all of us. I know Cliff has the integrity and tenacity required to roll up his sleeves and do the hard work required to improve our communities. That’s why I’m proud to support him in his run for State Senate.”

“Dan is impressive because he is so young, yet so accomplished,” said Dawkins. “When I first met him in law school and learned he was from my community, I was immediately drawn to him. He was energetic and passionate and had just been elected to the Roxbury Council against all odds. Dan’s support means so much to me because his 2015 election to the Roxbury Council was the start of a blue wave in Morris County, which inspired all of us to get involved when we are ready to serve.” The two met at students at Rutgers Law School.

Cliff Dawkins is a Democratic Candidate for State Senate in the LD25 Special Election. Dawkins is an attorney specializing in Labor and Employment law. He also serves on several professional organization and nonprofit boards, including the Urban League of Morris County, the Garden State Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division, the National Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division, and the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Civil Practice.

Cliff Dawkins resides in Rockaway Borough with his wife and their two children.
