FOUR SUNRISE MOVEMENT HUBS ENDORSE DR. ARATI KREIBICH FOR CONGRESS

Glen Rock, NJ – In an impressive display of momentum, Dr. Arati Kreibich’s campaign for Congress in NJ-5 today released the endorsement of four local hubs of the Sunrise Movement (listed below). They join the New Jersey Youth Climate Strike and Food and Water Action in the coalition of progressive climate organizations supporting Arati.

Sunrise Movement Hubs at Rutgers, Skylands, Montclair, and Morris County released the following joint statement: “We’re proud to endorse Dr. Arati Kreibich for Congress in NJ-5. Not only is Arati the only candidate in the race who supports a Green New Deal, her opponent is one of the most stalwart proponents of the fossil fuel industry in Congress and has taken tens of thousands of dollars of their corporate PAC money.

“The climate crisis threatens the future of our generation on this planet, and we need climate champions like Arati in Congress who acknowledge the scale of the crisis we’re facing and are willing to rise to meet it with bold solutions.”

Dr. Arati Kreibich released this statement: “I’m so proud to have the support of these youth-led climate organizations. As we look for a path forward out of this COVID-19 crisis, the Green New Deal is a crucial framework to help build a more resilient future for all. The climate crisis is an existential threat, and we need to take bold action to address it. I’m honored to have the support of these inspiring climate activists in this fight.”
