FRANCO & MORAN FOR LEH TWP. COMMITTEE SEEK VOLUNTEERS FOR SEVEN BRIDGES CLEANUP DAY

(Little Egg Harbor Twp.) – Candidates for Little Egg Harbor Twp. Committee, Gabriel Brian Franco and Shaun Moran, announced an inaugural community service event to clean up the trash dumped at the end of Great Bay Boulevard, referred to by most locals as Seven Bridges.

“Seven Bridges is a natural habitat for the Northern Diamondback Terrapin, an endangered species, and is also a popular destination for hikers, bicyclists, kayakers, and naturalists,” said Franco & Moran in a statement on their website. “It’s one of Little Egg Harbor’s natural treasures, but many visitors and motorists have polluted the area and it’s sadly become rife with garbage and debris.”

The Little Egg Harbor Township Department of Public Works agreed to provide bags and gloves, as well as a method to properly dispose of the garbage that the Franco & Moran volunteer team will remove. Volunteers are asked to wear masks and practice physical distancing.

The event is scheduled for the morning of Sunday, October 4, with a rain date set for October 11. Details on the event can be found here.
