Freehold Borough to be Awarded Veteran Friendly Municipality Certification Program Certification by the New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce

The Borough of Freehold, in Monmouth County, will be awarded with the Veteran Friendly Municipality Certification this evening.

Criteria: To receive this certification, towns adopt a resolution specifying they will make a good faith effort to award 6% of public contracts to veteran owned businesses, achieve a work force that is 5% veterans, set aside 3 parking spaces for veterans in municipal parking areas, and make a proactive effort to notify veteran businesses of public bidding opportunities.
The chamber will present the certificate to borough leaders during a brief speech and ceremony.
It is a heart warming moment for veterans and recognition of Freehold for its efforts
