These latest endorsements come after Freeholder Romano was recently endorsed by prominent unions: Hudson County Building and Construction Trades Council, Hudson County Central Labor Council, Path Labor Coalition, PBA 334, PBA 109 and PBA 109 A

 

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Following a bevy of recent endorsements from local unions, Freeholder Anthony Romano is being endorsed by Jersey City Ward C Councilman Rich Boggiano and Ward D Councilman Yousef Saleh. Just in the last two weeks, Freeholder Romano has also been endorsed by Hudson County Building and Construction Trades Council, Hudson County Central Labor Council, Path Labor Coalition, PBA 334, PBA 109 and PBA 109 A.

 

“Freeholder Romano has been a dedicated public servant for his entire life and I am proud to support him,” said Councilman Boggiano. “Our district needs someone with the experience and track record of delivering for our residents representing us on the Freeholder Board. With the uncertain times that we find ourselves in right now, we need a steady hand of leadership that knows how to cut through the red tape to get us the resources we need.”

 

Freeholder Romano, who is the District five Freeholder, represents Hoboken and parts of Jersey City. Prior to being elected as Freeholder, Romano worked as a Hoboken Police Officer for over thirty years and served on the Hoboken Board of education from 2006-2009.

 

“Since becoming our Freeholder, Anthony Romano has been a tireless advocate for social and economic justice. He has always fought for expanding healthcare and making our neighborhoods more affordable,” said Councilman Saleh. “I believe he will continue to be a strong voice for our community if he is re-elected and that is why he has my complete support.”

 

“I am so grateful for the overwhelming support that our community has shown me during this race,” said Freeholder Romano. “It has been the privilege of my life to serve as your Freeholder and I promise to continue delivering for our neighborhood if I am reelected.”
