Freeholder Kern Asks Governor Murphy to amend Local Land Use & Zoning Guidelines

Warren County Freeholder James Kern III has asked Governor Murphy in a letter to temporarily amend local land use and zoning guidelines.

“Today I sent a letter to Governor Phil Murphy asking him to temporarily suspend statutory land use deadlines until his executive orders expire. Based on his “Road Back” plan, public gatherings seem several weeks away. Warren County currently has several applications that are of significant interest to our quality of life. The public should be able to participate in person at these meetings. Should a local jurisdiction feel it appropriate to proceed, that should be their call but they should not be forced by state deadlines with this ongoing pandemic.”
