Freeholder Tom Arnone receives Long Branch PBA endorsement

LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth County Freeholder Director Tom Arnone has received an endorsement from one of the largest police unions in Monmouth County – Long Branch P.B.A. Local 10.

The endorsement comes in the wake of multiple anti-police statements from the Monmouth County Democrat Freeholder Candidate, Moira Nelson, and Middletown Township Democrat candidate, Jeana Sager.

“As representatives of one of Monmouth County‘s largest police unions, we stand with Freeholder Arnone who has demonstrated throughout the years his unwavering support for law-enforcement. It is unfortunate that Freeholder Arnone’s opponent holds the hard-working men and women of law enforcement in such low regard. The officers of the Long branch Police Department have dedicated their lives to serving others,” the Long Branch PBA endorsement stated.

Freeholder Arnone, and his running mates, Sheriff Shaun Golden and Wall Township Committeeman Nick DiRocco, are strong supporters of law enforcement and have dedicated themselves to keeping the Monmouth County communities safe and secure.

“It is my honor to receive this important endorsement, especially at a time when there is such negativity against our dedicated police officers and first responders who work to protect all of us day in and day out,” said Arnone. “My running mates and I understand that law enforcement officers are pivotal in having the wonderful and safe county that we call home. We must always support them.”

Arnone also called for the current State representatives of Long Branch to denounce the anti-police remarks.

“It is time that we denounce the horrible and negative statements that my opponent and the Middletown candidate have made against police officers, and I call on the County Democrat leadership, including Democrat Assembly candidates Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey, to do the same,” said Arnone.
