Freeholders Cabana and DeFillippo Endorse Melissa Florance-Lynch

Morris County Freeholder Doug Cabana and Kathy DeFillippo
have announced their endorsement of Pequannock Councilwoman
Melissa Florance-Lynch to fulfil the remainder of Freeholder
Heather Darling’s unexpired term.

Freeholder Cabana, in expressing his support, stated:”
Melissa has shown excellent leadership as a Councilwoman and
Mayor in Pequannock over the last ten years. Melissa has
consistently place good government ahead of politics. She will
be a great addition to the Freeholder Board if elected.”

Freeholder DeFillippo indicated that Melissa’s experience
was the deciding factor. “I know what Melissa has been able to
do in Pequannock as a Mayor and Councilwoman. Melissa’s
dedication to controlling taxes and responsible budgets is not
just rhetoric. Her record is proof of her commitment.”

Florance-Lynch thanked both for their support, stating “I
am humbled by the endorsements of Freeholders Cabana and
DeFillippo. I look forward to the opportunity to continue
working with them, as well as the entire Freeholder Board, if
given the opportunity.”

Melissa Florance-Lynch has been on the Pequannock Council
for ten years and is serving her third term. Melissa served as
Deputy Mayor in 2011, 2012 and 2013. She served as Mayor in 2014
and 2017. She has been instrumental in creating and passing
budgets that resulted in average tax increases of less than one
percent per year. While doing this, she has also fought to
maintain programs and services in Pequannock.
