Friday, February 12 – 3:00 PM Build Back Fossil Free Rally

Local and state environmental groups will hold an in person and virtual rally as part of the national #BuildBackFossilFree week of action.

The event will highlight fossil fuel infrastructure fights around New Jersey, including the Gibbstown LNG export terminal, and will call on President Biden and Governor Murphy to declare a moratorium on new fossil fuel infrastructure, and ban liquified natural gas transport and export.

To dramatize the dangers of transport of Bakken crude oil and the extraordinary risks associated with transport of Liquified Natural Gas by rail in NJ – a small group of activists will stand in-person on the Cedar Lane Bridge in Teaneck, above the CSX tracks where trains currently transport explosive Bakken Crude through Teaneck and dozens of densely populated towns and cities in NJ.
