Full Assembly Vote on $15 Minimum Wage, “Bots,” Autonomous Vehicle Task Force, Requiring More Accountability in State Service Contracts & Making it Easier to Report School Bus Driver Misconduct

Naming Route 27 in Union County in Honor of Late Assemblyman Jerry Green, Assembly Also to Vote on Detective Melvin Vincent Santiago’s Law & “Anthony Bourdain Food Trail” in New Jersey

 

(TRENTON)- Working toward economic fairness in New Jersey for the state’s hardest working residents, the full Assembly will take a floor vote on A-15, which raises, gradually and fairly, the state’s minimum wage to $15.  Legislation prohibiting discrimination of cash-paying customers and creating an autonomous vehicle task force are also among the measures up for a vote on Thursday.

The Assembly will also consider bills that would increase access to funding for local organizations offering “Code Blue” Emergency Shelter Services to the homeless; prohibit the use of bots to deceive a person; and allow municipalities to dedicate a funding source for  local arts and culture programs through public question.
