Georgetown College Democrats to Host Policy and Political Discussion Featuring Michael Embrich
Washington, D.C. – Join us for an evening of policy and political discussion featuring Michael Embrich, a former advisor to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, a member of the Harris presidential campaign, and a noted columnist for Rolling Stone, where he covers Veterans and Military Affairs issues. The event will take place at The Tombs on February 5, 2025, at 7 PM.
Michael Embrich, a Navy veteran and renowned policy expert, brings a wealth of experience from his federal service and political career. As a policy advisor to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, he focused on improving veterans’ healthcare, education, and transition services. Embrich played a pivotal role in shaping key legislation, including the PACT Act and the Post-9/11 GI Bill, and contributed to President Obama’s Zero Veterans Homelessness initiative.
The discussion will address pressing issues in policy and politics, such as challenges facing veterans, the future of public service, and reflections on the role of advocacy in shaping government initiatives. A Q&A session will allow attendees to engage directly with Embrich.
This event is free and open to the public, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students, alumni, and members of the Georgetown community are encouraged to attend.
