Gloucester County locally owned businesses are joining forces to help serve residents in need

(Mantua, NJ)—Proud residents of Mantua Township and local business owners, Bogey’s Bar and Grill, BHR Contracting and Car Effex, have teamed up to give back to Gloucester County residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., residents in need can come to Bogey’s Club and Café (Pitman Golf Course) to pick up a healthy, well rounded meal for free. These meals will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Families are asked to stay in their cars. You do not need to have all family members in your car at the time of pick up and no identification is required.

“This is a prime example of why Gloucester County is an amazing place to live,” said Freeholder Robert M. Damminger said. “I have seen so much support from our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. I know we will make it through this and be stronger because of it.”

The meals will all be cooked and prepared on site at Bogey’s Bar and Grill located at Pitman Golf Course 501 Pitman Rd., Sewell 08080.

Freeholder Jim Jefferson attended the meal pick up on Tuesday, March 31, to help distribute package meals and hand sanitizer provided by Gloucester County Department of Health.

“We hope we can help as many community members as possible during this tough time,” said Freeholder Jefferson. “It was amazing to see local businesses come together to help our residents so selflessly. If you know anyone who would benefit from a hot meal, please let them know that this event is here to help.”

If anyone suffers from a food allergy, please ask about ingredients before picking up the meals.
