Gloucester County is offering Mental Health Services for those overwhelmed by COVID-19

(West Deptford, NJ)—The Gloucester County Division of Human & Disability Services provides Mental Health Services for all residents.

The Division of Human and Disability Services wants to remind you that there are resources available for you to speak with a trained professional if you’re feeling anxiety or stress because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

You may experience serious distress when you hear about an infectious disease outbreak, even if you are at little or no risk of getting sick.

“The stress and anxiety you are feeling is normal, and professionals are available to help talk you through this uncertain time,” Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said. “It’s important to remember to check in with yourself and evaluate how the pandemic and the many changes that come with it are making you feel.”

Gloucester County’s Mental Health Services have put together a resource page to help you find the right contact for you.

“Every resident has been affected by COVID-19 in some way,” said Freeholder Jim Jefferson, liaison to Division of Human and Disability Services, said. “We want to ensure that every resident feels heard, understood and educated as possible right now. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help.”
