Gloucester County Republicans United Behind Van Drew
In a show of unity, Gloucester County Republican leaders and every Republican Mayor in Gloucester County announced they are endorsing Republican Congressman Jeff Van Drew for re-election. Today’s endorsements are from Gloucester County Republican Chairwoman Jacci Vigilante, Vice Chairwoman & Elk Township Mayor Carolyn King-Sammons, Secretary Lisa Rotte, Treasurer Steve Bottiglieri, Young Republican President Andrea Sammons, East Greenwich Mayor Dale Archer, Franklin Mayor Jake Bruno, Greenwich Mayor George Shivery, Newfield Mayor Don Sullivan, Pitman Mayor Mike Razze, and South Harrison Mayor Joe Marino.
“Congressman Van Drew has worked hard to earn the support of Republican leaders all over South Jersey, including right here in Gloucester County,” said Chairwoman Jacci Vigilante. “The more we have gotten to know Congressman Van Drew the more impressed we are with his command of the issues facing South Jersey and commitment to growing our Republican party. We will be joining Congressman Van Drew in Wildwood next week to show our support for his re-election and welcome President Trump to South Jersey.”
“I support and trust President Trump’s decision to endorse Congressman Van Drew,” added Gloucester County Republican Vice Chairwoman & Elk Township Mayor Carolyn King-Sammons. “South Jersey needs an advocate in Washington who will stand up for our conservative values, listen to the needs of their constituents, and vote in the best interest for all in our district and I know Congressman Van Drew will continue to do just that.”
“The voters in our community of Franklin Township have a long history of voting for who they feel is the best candidate and not for a particular party,” said Franklin Township Mayor Jake Bruno. “They are interested in integrity, competence, service to constituents and performance and, because of that, endorsing Congressman Jeff Van Drew is an easy choice. Congressman Van Drew embodies all those qualities and I’m confident that his focus will remain on maintaining a strong economy that provides good jobs for the hard-working families of our Congressional District. His support of our veterans, senior citizens, farmers, fishermen, police, firefighters and first responders makes him the best choice. Like Frank LoBiondo and Bill Hughes before him, Congressman Van Drew puts the people of his district first and work to resolve petty differences between the parties in order to work together for the betterment of our district and our nation.”
The Gloucester County portion of the 2nd Congressional District includes Clayton, part of East Greenwich, Elk, Franklin, Harrison, Mantua, Newfield, Pitman, South Harrison, Swedesboro, and Woolwich.
