Spooky Season – The Tax Team Reunites!

Marano, Russo, and Murphy will haunt Somerset County this weekend

For Immediate Release

November 1, 2019 – This Halloween weekend, Somerset County residents have more to fear than just the traditional Halloween spooks, with Governor Phil Murphy reuniting the Tax and Spend Trio for a final push to threaten Somerset County’s special quality of life, said GOP Candidate for Sheriff Bill Parenti and Freeholder Pat Walsh in a joint statement.

“The Murphy-Russo-Marano Tax and Spend Trio is reuniting to making one last final push to make Somerset County a sanctuary county and find new ways to raise taxes on us,” said Parenti and Walsh. “In Governor Murphy’s own words: the buck stops with us, and we’re not going to let that happen.”

Throughout the course of the campaign cycle, the contrasts between the Tax and Spend Trio and the Safe and Strong Somerset Team could not be more apparent. If it were up to the Tax and Spend Trio, Somerset County would:

·         Become a sanctuary county, threatening the safety of our residents and their quality of life;

·         Implement taxes in a similar vein to the rain tax, diving deeper and deeper into the already overburdened pockets of New Jersey’s taxpayers;

·         Build countless units of high density housing on our precious acres of open space; and

·         Worst of all, line their pockets with our hard earned taxpayers by continuing to either abusing union-time policies or vote for their own salary increases.

“The voters of Somerset County were not fooled the first time by Darrin Russo nor were the voters of Green Brook hoodwinked by Melonie,” added Parenti and Walsh. “We’re confident in our credentials, having been endorsed by the Bernardsville News and other stakeholders, that the voters of Somerset will reject the Tax and Spend Trio and keep the progress of the Republican-led Sheriff’s Office and Board of Chosen Freeholder moving forward.”
