Congressman Backed By Rail Labor Union, Focused on Infrastructure Investment, Creating Good Jobs,
and Supporting Hardworking Men and Women of Labor in Jersey

WYCKOFF, NJ – Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) was endorsed today by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET), North America’s oldest rail labor union.

“Our members are incredibly thankful to Congressman Gottheimer for his leadership and commitment to fighting for labor and our families, creating good jobs, and doing so much to strengthen our communities,” said Chairman Ray Vigil, New Jersey State Legislative Board, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen. “From helping write and pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, to bringing more infrastructure investment from Washington back to Jersey than ever before, and leading the fight against New York’s Congestion Tax, Congressman Gottheimer has been a true leader and friend we can always count on to fight for what matters.”

“I am so proud to stand with the hardworking men and women of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen who help keep our region moving and our economy on track – ensuring our trains and rail lines are operating safely and smoothly every day,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “In Congress, I helped craft and pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill which included historic investments in rail and mass transit. I’m continuing to fight every day to invest in our crumbling infrastructure, and protect and create good-paying jobs here in Jersey. I will always have the backs of the hardworking men and women of labor”

The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) is a Division of the Rail Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT). The BLET is the senior national labor organization in the United States and North America’s oldest rail labor union.
