Gottheimer Honors Hard-Working Men and Women at Labor Day Celebrations Across North Jersey
Yesterday, September 3, 2018, Josh Gottheimer joined workers, neighbors, friends, and families to celebrate Labor Day and honor the hard work and sacrifice of North Jersey workers.
Gottheimer kicked off the day with Glen Rock Mayor Bruce Packer and Glen Rock families, athletes, students, and children at the 31st Annual Glen Rock Jaycees Arboretum 5K Run. Gottheimer then joined Freeholder Steve Tanelli, Freeholder Tracy Zur, and thousands of New Jersey residents to enjoy food, games, and live music at the 43rd Annual Rutherford Labor Day Street Fair, the oldest annual street fair in New Jersey. Finally, Gottheimer wrapped up the day’s celebrations at the 104th Annual Feast of Saint Joseph, hosted by the Saint Joseph Society of Lodi.
“This Labor Day, I was proud to join families, neighbors, and friends to honor the millions of New Jersey workers whose hard work and sacrifice built our great state and nation,” said Josh Gottheimer. “New Jersey workers are the best in the world. I am committed to doing everything I can to fight for our workers, invest in our crumbling infrastructure, and bring more jobs and opportunities to our state.”
