Gottheimer Hosts Forum with Federal Financial Aid Expert for North Jersey Families and Students
TEANECK, NJ – Last night, Wednesday January 23rd, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) hosted families and students from the Fifth District at Teaneck High School for a workshop on federal financial aid opportunities with an expert from the Department of Education.
“Paying for college is a huge investment for families and students. The cost of college has skyrocketed 80 percent in the last decade and I am horrified about how much it might cost when my young children go to college. In Congress, we must take steps to make college more affordable as a key driver to long-term economic success for Jersey’s youth, but also our businesses. Part of that is helping families make the best, most informed decisions they can about how to pay for it,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “I brought the experts in from the Department of Education to answer the tough questions and help families find solutions and learn about what’s available to save them money.”
