As Part of “Josh on the Job” Tour, Gottheimer Makes Subs For Constituents

MAHWAH, NJ – Friday, November 2, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) visited Subway in Mahwah as the latest stop in his “Josh on the Job” tour.

“There is nothing small about the impact of small businesses on the North Jersey economy. They’re where the jobs are. They also provide great franchising opportunities, which is how so many people in this country get their first job or their start in small business. In 1965, Dr. Peter Buck and Fred DeLuca opened their first Subway restaurant in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where they served fresh, affordable, made to order sandwiches. The popularity of the sandwiches and the brand continued to grow over the decades. Today, the Subway brand is the world’s largest submarine sandwich chain with more than 40,000 locations around the world.
