Governor Chris Christie Orders Flags Lowered to Half-Staff in Honor of the Passing of Jersey City Police Lt. Christopher Robateauernor

Trenton, NJ – Today, Governor Chris Christie signed the following Executive Order:
Executive Order No. 240 – Ordering all State buildings to fly flags at half-staff on Thursday, January 11, 2018, in recognition of the life and in mourning of the passing of Jersey City Police Lt. Christopher Robateau.

Lt. Robateau died tragically while assisting a motorist on the New Jersey Turnpike on January 5. He was a loving husband and father of three.

“New Jersey is deeply saddened by the loss of such a selfless public servant who devoted his life to protecting others,” Governor Christie said. “Lt. Robateau deserves to be honored and remembered across the state as we offer our thoughts and deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and his fellow members of the Jersey City Police Department who will miss him dearly. He is a role model for all New Jerseyans.”
