TRENTON – Governor Phil Murphy today ordered that U.S. and New Jersey flags fly at half-staff at all state buildings and facilities on Friday, December 1, 2023, in recognition and remembrance of former Congressman Herb Klein, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 93.

“As we honor the life, legacy, and many accomplishments of Congressman Herb Klein, we remember the tremendous impact he left on the state of New Jersey,” said Governor Murphy. “Our state has lost a dedicated and committed public servant who always put his constituents first. Tammy and I continue to mourn the loss of our friend, and we pray for his family, his friends, and all who knew him.”
