Governor Murphy Directs U.S. and New Jersey Flags to Fly at Half-Staff in Honor of Former Assembly Minority Leader and Senator C. Robert Sarcone

Governor Phil Murphy today ordered that the U.S. and New Jersey flags be flown at half-staff at all state buildings and facilities on Friday, January 24, 2020, in recognition of the passing of former Assembly Minority Leader and Senator C. Robert Sarcone.

“Senator Sarcone led a life of service, distinction, and honor,” said Governor Murphy. “A proud Navy veteran who served during World War II, Senator Sarcone went on to be elected to the Assembly and Senate, fighting for all New Jerseyans. Tammy and I extend our sincere condolences to his wife Jeanette, his daughter Yvonne, and his family and friends.”
