Great Swamp Watershed Association Appoints Paul Boudreau to Board of Trustees

MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY (June 19, 2020) — The Great Swamp Watershed Association (GSWA) is proud to announce that financial expert and community leader, Paul Boudreau, was elected to their Board of Trustees on June 8, 2020.

Paul is a Private Banker with Peapack-Gladstone Bank and serves exclusively through the Bank’s private banking program.  He recently retired as President of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce after serving 10 years in that role. Prior to his Chamber position, he worked at Honeywell for 25 years retiring as Vice President, State and Corporate Relations.

Paul served on the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission from 2012-2019. He was a member of the New Jersey Mental Health Association Board of Directors from 2014-2019 and the Morristown Airport Advisory Board and served on the Board of the Somerset Hills YMCA for eight years. Paul currently provides volunteer leadership to the Tri-County Scholarship Fund. He has received numerous awards for community leadership from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern New Jersey, the Boy Scouts of America, and NewBridge Services, Inc. From 1976 to 1978, he was a member of the Maine House of Representatives.

“I joined the Board to support the many great programs of the GSWA that educate and advocate for a clean and sustainable environment,” Said Paul.

Since temporarily closing their physical office in March, GSWA continues to deliver their mission of protecting and improving water resources. GSWA has created and delivered virtual experiences such as live streaming their 2019 Water Quality Report and posting a self-paced stream assessment training. They introduced stay-at-home scavenger hunts and photo challenges to encourage families and individuals to get outside. GSWA is finishing up the school year via virtual classrooms providing live environmental education programming to hundreds of students. Additionally, GSWA’s 73-acre Conservation Management Area (CMA) on Tiger Lily Lane in Harding has remained open to the public throughout the COVID-19 pandemic offering much-needed preserved open space and 3 miles of trails for hiking and passive recreation.
