GREAVES: Commuter Tax Credit Legislation is one stop closer to completing its route

Commuter Tax Credit Legislation is one stop closer to completing its route.

The bill (A-2425) requires employers (with over 20 employees) to offer the existing tax credit to their employees.

Ray Greaves, Chairman of the Amalgamated Transit Union said, “The intent of the legislation is to get the word out that a commuter tax credit exists so commuters can take advantage of the program and in-turn more people will be enticed to use mass-transit.”

Greaves went on to say,  “NJ Transit riders could use some relief so we anticipate Governor Murphy will act quickly signing this welcomed commuter bill into law.”

Prime Sponsors of the commuter friendly Legislation are Senator Loretta Weinberg and Assemblyman Dan Benson
