Greenwald: The Fiscal Year 2020 State Budget Reflects Democrats’ Shared Priorities

(TRENTON) – Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald (D-Camden, Burlington) issued the following statement today after the Governor signed the FY2020 budget into law:

“I’m proud of the budget the Democratic Legislature sent to the Governor and I’m pleased that it funds our priorities. These are priorities that we have fought for over the last decade. I am pleased to see these priorities moving forward and becoming a stable part of New Jersey’s budgeting process in the years to come. I’m glad the Governor has agreed that our budget is fiscally responsible and put the State on the right track by helping seniors, veterans and working class New Jerseyans.

“I also appreciate the Governor’s acknowledgment that our budget projections for the fiscal year that starts tomorrow are as accurate as the fiscal year that ends today.”
