Guy for County Executive Campaign Ramps Up for General Election

Democratic Nominee Looks Forward to Running Spirited Campaign, Continuing to Build Hudson Dem Party’s Strength

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Fresh off his dominant showing in the Primary Election in June, Democratic nominee for Hudson County Executive Craig Guy is readying his campaign to once again ramp up and run a spirited race for the upcoming General Election. Guy will be working over the coming weeks to rebuild his campaign’s fundraising in order to once again run a comprehensive, countywide campaign that helps boost Democratic turnout and supports efforts by the Hudson County Democratic Organization to build the party’s strength.

“Winning the primary election was a thrilling experience, but the work isn’t done and I’m ready to sprint through the finish line in November,” said Guy. “We have an outstanding slate of Hudson Democratic candidates running alongside me on the ballot, headlined by Senator Brian P. Stack who will soon be the senior leader of our legislative delegation, and I want to make sure that we continue to do our part to support them and help the HCDO keep building its capabilities and expanding its reach.”

Thanks in part to the Guy campaign’s efforts to mobilize voters, primary election turnout in Hudson County increased by nearly 60% in the 2023 primary compared to the 2019 primary, which was the last election where the state legislature was at the top of the ticket. Guy and the Hudson County Democratic Organization will be working together to continue that trend and show the state that the county organization is strong and united.
