Hasbrouck Heights Democrats Announce Their 2018 candidates

The Hasbrouck Heights Democrats announce their 2018 candidates, Steven Reyngoudt and Helayne Weiss. Following a successful 2017 campaign, which elected Councilman Chris Hillmann our local Democratic Party is energized and focused on securing two more seats on the council.

“I have been lucky to grow up, and now raise my children, in a community like Hasbrouck Heights. I am passionate about what this community has to offer to all of its residents and I am running to help give back what it has provided for me. Serving as President of HHSA and on the Woodland Park Committee has shown me that our town needs more safe spaces for our residents to play sports, enjoy beautiful outdoor parks and have access to indoor recreational facilities. As your councilman I will work to expand opportunities for our residents to have greater access to outdoors and have a clean environment to play and live” . – Steven Reyngoudt
“Public service has always been a calling for me, it’s why I became a lawyer and do the the work I do, day in and day out. Fighting for our residents to get more tax dollars from Trenton and being a voice for the neediest among us will be my cause as your future councilwoman.I look forward to meeting with our neighbors to hear what they need from their local government to make their quality of life better.” – Helayne Weiss
“I am excited to have Steven and Helayne run on the Democratic ticket this year. They are both committed to serving the resident of Hasbrouck Heights and dedicated to being a voice for the community they love. I know I speak for both of them when I say that we look forward to a campaign that is based on issues and the needs of our neighbors. Having a choice at the ballot box is an important part of our democracy and I so pleased to have two excellent choices for the voters this June and November.” – Chris Hillmann
