HCDO Chairman Craig Guy Has Made This the First Step in Mobilizing Local Efforts

Hudson County, New Jersey – Following President Biden’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for President, Hudson County Democratic Chairman Craig Guy announced his support for Harris. With Harris now the presumptive nominee and her running mate Governor Walz officially announced, Guy is mobilizing local efforts to back the Democratic ticket.

Chairman Guy has appointed Marielka Diaz, Vice-Chair of the Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO) and Commissioner of West New York, as Chair of Hudson for Harris. “Marielka is a strong, experienced advocate for Democratic values,” Guy stated. I’m delighted she has agreed to  serve as our Hudson Chair for Harris-Walz as we gear up for volunteer  efforts after the convention.”

Diaz expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s an honor to receive the support of Chairman Guy and Mayor Sires. As a proud immigrant, Dominicana, and resident of West New York, I am excited to contribute to electing our first female president.”
