HEALEY NAMED TO NRCC’S YOUNG GUN PROGRAM

– Incumbent Andy Kim ‘Out-of-Step’ with District’s Voters

Washington, DC — Today Bob Healey, a Moorestown manufacturer and Republican Candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s Third Congressional District, was named a full-fledged “Young Gun” by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).

In 2020, 25 Young Guns were elected to Congress. Since its inception, the Young Guns program has helped elect over 150 members of Congress.

“I am grateful that national Republicans have recognized the campaign we are building, and the opportunity that we have to defeat Andy Kim and be part of a majority that will serve as a check and balance on Joe Biden’s disastrous agenda,” said Healey.  “Every day, the voters in Burlington, Monmouth and Mercer Counties share with me the terrible impact Biden-Kim inflation is having on them at supermarket, the gas pump, and in their energy bills.  It’s time for a change.”

“My goal in running is simply to bring commonsense to Washington; and to push back against the far-left policies of Joe Biden and the Democrat-controlled Congress,” added the lifelong Burlington resident.

Healey, a first-time candidate, won the June 7 contested primary to become the Republican nominee of the newly drawn Third congressional district which includes parts of Burlington, Monmouth, and Mercer counties.

“The campaign to Take Back the House is fully underway and today I’m proud to announce that an additional fourteen Republican candidates have earned the distinguished title of ‘Young Gun,’” said Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy. “These impressive leaders have proven they have what it takes to run the most effective and efficient campaigns. Each ‘Young Gun’ will play a critical role in our pursuit to win back the House majority and I thank them for their hard work and commitment to victory.”
