Hoboken Mayoral Candidate Ravi Bhalla Introduces His Council Slate

Hi Friend,

I’m excited to share the news that Councilman Jim Doyle, Emily Jabbour, and John Allen will join my team as at-large Council candidates!

Together, Jim, Emily and John combine proven experience with new ideas and energy. Councilman Doyle has been an outstanding member of the Council and a staunch supporter of our reform movement. He’s worked with Mayor Dawn Zimmer and me to acquire more open space, secure funding for flood resiliency projects, reduce taxes, implement sound environmental policies, fight against overdevelopment, and much more.

Emily has been dedicated to our local schools, and is a regular volunteer at Brandt School where her older daughter will attend kindergarten. She also served as the HOPES Liaison for the Brandt Parent Consortium. Emily founded the local chapter of the national organization Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, where she recently provided 200 gun locks to the Hoboken Police Department for distribution.

John is a newly elected member of the Hoboken Democratic County Committee. He is an attorney specializing in education law, and before moving to Hoboken he was elected at the age of 20 to the Old Bridge Board of Education, where he went to public school. John serves on the Board of Directors of Easterseals New Jersey, one of the state’s largest charitable organizations dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities. John is engaged to Tara Mullins, and they plan to raise a family in Hoboken.

Finally, I’m pleased that Jim, Emily and John have the enthusiastic support of Mayor Dawn Zimmer, who is backing my campaign for Mayor. I look forward to working with them and all of you as we continue to keep Hoboken moving in the right direction.

Sincerely,

Ravi Bhalla
