Hoboken Strategy Group is pleased to announce the appointments of Jess Murray as Vice President and Nadya Khan as Government Relations and Communications Associate.

“I am pleased to announce the addition of Jess Murray as Vice President and Nadya Khan as Government Relations and Communications Associate. Both are dynamic individuals with extensive relationships, strong policy experience and excellent communications skills. With our growing client base, I am confident that Jess and Nadya will be excellent additions to the HSG team which includes Senior Vice President Michael Comba, Vice President Matt Anderson and Director of Government Relations Jason Bergman.” said Kay LiCausi, HSG President & CEO.

Jess Murray joins HSG as Vice President, bringing with her a deep understanding of the legislative process and a reputation on both sides of the aisle as an effective and reliable partner in policymaking. As Chief of Staff to Senator Linda R. Greenstein, she established the Senator’s legislative priorities, built consensus among groups of wide-ranging stakeholders, and executed strategies for advancement. During her time as Chief of Staff, Jess worked extensively to develop and pass legislation across a spectrum of issue areas including the environment and clean drinking water, public safety and victims’ rights, access to healthcare, labor, and business development. Jess previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director to former Assemblywoman Nancy Pinkin, where she worked on legislative matters related to climate change, clean energy, and healthcare. Named to Senator Loretta Weinberg’s and Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter’s “Women’s Power Lists,” she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy and Political Science from Rutgers University.

Nadya Khan brings her impressive background in public affairs and community outreach to HSG. Previously serving as a Public Affairs Manager at Planned Parenthood Action Fund of NJ, Nadya demonstrated her expertise in advocacy communication, coalition building and community engagement. She skillfully collaborated with decision-makers, supporters, and community partners to advance legislative efforts to improve and expand access to reproductive health care services throughout NJ. As a college student, Nadya organized impactful campaigns to mobilize young advocates for reproductive freedom across her campus. Recognizing the power of legislative and advocacy avenues, Nadya pursued further education in policymaking and deepened her understanding through an internship with HSG. She earned her B.S. in Public Policy with an Economics minor from Rutgers University–NB. Nadya is the proud daughter of Pakistani and Polish immigrants and resides in Piscataway.

HSG also announced that Alea Couch will leave the firm to join the NJ Department of Community Affairs as Director of Policy and External Affairs. “I am thrilled for Alea’s new opportunity to serve the State. Alea is a super-star, phenomenally talented, and well-respected in the State House. Among her many accomplishments at HSG, she shepherded two bills from concept through committees to final passage in lame duck and signed into law. I look forward to watching Alea’s star continue to rise and wish her the best of luck!” said Kay LiCausi.
