Holzapfel, McGuckin & Catalano Join with New Jersey State Troopers Fraternal Association for Personal Protective Equipment Drive
The 10th District Legislators are proud to join forces with the New Jersey State Troopers Fraternal Association on their Personal Protective Equipment Drive.
Holzapfel, McGuckin and Catalano are working with the NJ State Police Fraternal Association to collect desperately needed masks and other personal protective equipment to protect first responders and health care workers during the coronavirus crisis.
Senator Jim Holzapfel and Assemblyman Greg McGuckin and John Catalano would also like to commend Community Surgical Supply on making the first donation of KN95 masks to this worthy cause. The legislators have released the following statement and applaud everyone involved in donating to the Personal Protective Equipment Drive.
“We are pleased to be involved in this effort with the State Troopers Fraternal Association to collect personal protective equipment to aide our first responders and health care professionals during the coronavirus pandemic,” stated the legislators. “We are proud of those who are on the front lines during this crisis and we are proud to represent these brave men and women.”
Beginning on April 1, donations can be dropped off at the State Troopers Fraternal Association located at 2634 Route 70 in Manasquan. Personal Protective Equipment is essential to keeping the men and women who are responding to COVID-19 safe from contracting the virus.
“Doctors, nurses and essential workers are crying out for masks and other personal protective equipment and have been forced to wear bandanas and scarves for masks, trash bags for gowns and reuse contaminated medical equipment. Those on the front lines are in dire need to be protected from this infectious disease. Any donations at this time are greatly appreciated and will be given to our heroic men and women in these fields,” the legislators said.
The first donation to the drive came from Community Surgical Supply, the nationwide healthcare equipment provider, who donated 1,000 KN95 masks.
“We need to keep our healthcare and emergency personnel on the front lines safe. Community Surgical Supply is making this 1,000 masks donation through the 10th District Legislative Office,” said Michael Fried of Community Surgical Supply. “My company has now donated 15,000 masks total to address shortages. I urge everyone to do what they can to support local organizations and limit the spread of the virus by following the CDC’s guidelines.”
