Houghtaling & Downey to Discuss Importance of Move Over Law

 

(ASBURY PARK) – Assembly Democrats Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey (both D-Monmouth) will hold a press conference on Tuesday to discuss the importance of residents and visitors adhering to the Move Over Law to protect police and first responders.

 

WHEN: 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018

 

WHERE: Asbury Park Boardwalk, between Robinson Ale House and the Convention Center

 

WHO: Assembly Members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey will host a press conference to discuss the importance of residents and visitors adhering to the Move Over Law to protect our police and first responders. The Assembly members will be joined by Wayne Blanchard, President of the New Jersey State Troopers Union; Donna Setaro, a champion of the Move Over Law whose son, State Trooper Marc Castellano, was fatally struck while responding to a call on the side of the road; Asbury Park Mayor John Moor; and local high school students who have created a social media hashtag to help inform new drivers in Monmouth County about the Move Over Law.
