Hudson County commissioner Libero Marotta endorses Lisa McCormick

An elder statesman of the Hudson County political establishment, lawyer and authority commissioner Libero Marotta has endorsed anti establishment progressive Lisa McCormick for US Senate over the incumbent, Robert Menendez.

Marotta, who has been part of the political scene for decades, is a commissioner on the North Hudson Sewer Authority. He was admitted to practice law in 1955, and has known Menendez since the senator was a teenage protégé of former Mayor William Musto.  He took time to write a statement that is being published in local newspapers circulated in the incumbent’s home turf.
