Hudson County Democratic Organization Concludes ‘12 Days of Voting’ Drive to Increase Voter Turnout Ahead of General Election

JERSEY CITY, N.J. —  The Hudson County Democratic Organization has spent the past two weeks visiting all 12 of its municipalities in an effort to drive out a record number of voters ahead of the November 3 General Election. As part of the “12 Days of Voting Drive,” Chairwoman Amy DeGise, alongside members of the organization, municipal chairs and elected officials met with voters near secure ballot drop boxes and provided them with “I Voted” stickers and face masks.

“Over the past eight months, our nation has continued to face an uphill battle in addressing the COVID-19 crisis while lacking adequate or competent leadership in the White House,” said Hudson County Democratic Organization Chairwoman Amy DeGise. “Now more than ever, we need people in office who have the experience to guide us through these challenging times and the only way to make that happen is by voting. We as an organization have poured all of our resources into ensuring that Democrats vote in record numbers and that we support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, Cory Booker and the rest of our excellent ticket from Congress all the way to local municipal races. Despite these unprecedented times, our entire party has united together to execute an aggressive, energetic and enthusiastic GOTV plan and look forward to seeing the hard work we’ve put into this election pay off.”

• East Newark on November 1 with Mayor Dina Grilo and Councilwoman Rose M. Evaristo

As a reminder, ballots must be returned to a secure dropbox or postmarked by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. Anyone who did not receive or misplaced their ballot can still fill out a paper provisional ballot on Election Day. Voting machines will be reserved only for those who are handicap or disabled.
