Hudson County Republican Committee Statement

President Eisenhower once said, “The middle of the road is all the usable surface. The extremes are in gutters.” Unfortunately, these days in Hudson County there is a lot of noise coming from the gutters.

Josh Einstein, who could not convince more than 2 committee members to support him for Republican County Chairman, has decided to keep his zombie political career alive by allying with progressives and socialists who want to essentially overthrow Hudson County’s government. If successful, their policies would destroy one of the most successful urban areas in America. But Josh cares more about getting soundbites and headlines, which blinds him from the realization that being a token Republican for left-wing extremists, will undermine everything he stands for.

The latest screed is a bizarre attack on Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop and County Republican Chair Jose Arango. The Mayor is right to question his opponent who supposedly was a Republican but is now pushing hard-left, anti-capitalist policies in his doomed challenge this fall. Meanwhile, Mayor Fulop has governed as pro-business and pro-law and order. Why wouldn’t Republicans back him in a nonpartisan election?

Jose Arango has righteously earned positions as Hispanic leader in the Republican Party for 40 years and is currently serving his second term of Chair of all the Chairs, both upon unanimous election. It’s high time, local news outlets stop reporting Josh Einstein and his associates’ fake news, in order to progress towards a real discussion on the many pressing issues of the day.
