West Long Branch, NJ – The Hudson County Republican Organization threw its support behind Kim Guadagno for governor, securing the official Republican organization line on the June 6th primary ballot in Hudson County for the lieutenant governor. The announcement was made during a Tuesday night Hudson County Republican Organization meeting held in West New York and is the first ballot line awarded to any Republican candidate for governor in New Jersey.
“Hudson County Republicans understand that our next governor must set the right priorities in Trenton to make our state better for everyday working New Jerseyans, not the special interests,” said Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno. “Instead of raising taxes and spending $300 million we don’t have to renovate the State House, I will audit Trenton and focus on lowering taxes so families and businesses can stay and thrive in New Jersey.”
“This election is about the next four to eight years in New Jersey. Not only does Kim have the right plan and vision for a more affordable New Jersey, she is by far the best candidate to build up the Republican Party and defeat the Democrats in November,” said Hudson County GOP Chairman Jose Arango, who also serves as the chair of the county chairs. “Unlike Phil Murphy, who has promised everything to every special interest group he claims to not be beholden to, Kim knows Trenton must live within its means and be more accountable to the people. As lieutenant governor, she also knows what it takes to create jobs in Hudson County and across New Jersey. That’s why Hudson County Republicans are all in for Kim, and we will work around the clock to elect her our next governor.”
Since launching her campaign in January, Guadagno has earned the endorsement of over 300 Republican leaders and organizations from all 21 counties, including the most endorsements from state legislators and county Republican Party chairs. |
