Hudson County Young Republicans Elect New Chairmen and Treasurer
Hoboken, NJ, August 15 – The Hudson County Young Republicans held their reorganization meeting Wednesday August 15 in Hoboken at the home of former chairman Joshua Sotomayor Einstein. Elected at the reorganization were the two new Co-Chairs Alexander Schachtel and Mathew Garofalo. Schachtel hails from Hoboken and has been involved with the Young Republicans for two years. “This triumvirate of new executive leadership understands that in the era of #walkaway there is an opportunity and a joyous obligation to reach the masses. They are outstanding people who care about Hudson County and want to expose more people to smaller government ideas.” Einstein stated he will support the new leadership and looks forward to them running programs, raising money, and bringing commonsense conservative ideas into the conversation in Hudson County.
Chairman Garofalo stated that his “goal is to connect like-minded Republicans in the area with one another in order to build the party and to foster conservative principles.” All three newly elected leaders and agreed that Republicans in Hudson County are especially enthusiastic about GOP Senate candidate Bob Hugin who is taking on a career politician admonished by a bipartisan group of his Senate colleges for massive breaches of ethics.
Einstein, though declining to run for re-election of the Hudson County Young Republicans remains a member of the State Young Republican Board, the Secretary of the Executive Board of the Hoboken Municipal Republican Committee, and the elected NJ Republican State Committeeman from Hudson County.
