Hugin Campaign Launches ‘Pay Up Bob’ Website

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — Today, the Hugin for Senate campaign launched www.PayUpBob.com. The website tracks the time since the bipartisan Senate Ethics Committee ordered Senator Bob Menendez to repay the illegal gifts he accepted from Dr. Salomon Melgen.

“While New Jersey taxpayers have been taking a beating, Bob Menendez has been leading a lavish lifestyle courtesy of corruption – abusing his power to help a now convicted felon steal from Medicare.  Despite being ordered to pay back the over $1 million in gifts and travel, Senator Menendez is now arrogantly refusing to do so.  Our web site will remind voters that it’s time for him to pay up!” said Hugin Communications Director Megan Piwowar.

“Bob Menendez failed to comply with the Senate Ethics Committee order to amend his Financial Disclosure Reports, include all the gifts he received from Dr. Melgen and repay the fair market value of those gifts. Maybe Menendez is still trying to figure out if he needs to pay up and pay taxes on those gifts or if a new, corrupt multi-millionaire donor to come around and loan him the money,” asked Piwowar.
