Hugin Releases Statement on NFIP Extension

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation sponsored by Congressman Tom MacArthur to extend the National Flood Insurance Program through November 30, 2018. U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin released the following statement.

“While Congressman MacArthur is getting results for the hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans impacted by the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), Senator Bob Menendez continues to fail to get results for New Jersey,” said Hugin. “He’s been ineffective in getting any meaningful flood insurance reform through the Senate and on the President’s desk. While I commend Congressman MacArthur for his efforts to ensure that this program is reauthorized through hurricane season, New Jerseyans need a long-term reauthorization that provides the certainty they deserve.”

Bob Hugin, a Marine Corps Veteran and business leader who has created thousands of New Jersey jobs, is running for U.S. Senate against incumbent Senator Bob Menendez. For more information visit bobhugin.com.
