HUGIN FOR SENATE: TIME FOR MENENDEZ TO COME CLEAN
TIME FOR MENENDEZ TO COME CLEAN
CAREER POLITICIAN STILL FAILS TO DISCLOSE GIFTS HE’S ORDERED TO REPAY
MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — Financial Disclosure Reports filed by Senator Robert Menendez have yet to be amended to reflect the illegal gifts he accepted from Dr. Salomon Melgen—gifts the Senate Ethics Committee has ordered him to repay. Hugin Communications Director Megan Piwowar released the following statement:
“The good people of New Jersey deserve to know the price that Florida-based Dr. Salomon Melgen paid to have Senator Menendez violate federal law and abuse his office to intervene in the Obama Justice Department’s investigation into Melgen’s Medicare fraud scheme,” said Piwowar. “Despite being ordered by the Senate Ethics Committee to amend his Financial Disclosure Reports to include all the gifts he received from Melgen and to repay the fair market value of the gifts, Menendez has failed to comply. It’s time for Senator Menendez to come clean.”
Bob Hugin, a Marine Corps Veteran and business leader who has created thousands of New Jersey jobs, is seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate to challenge incumbent Democrat Senator Bob Menendez.
