ICYMI: Hugin All-in on Kavanaugh

Hugin: ‘I haven’t heard anything’ that would sway vote for SCOTUS nom

New Brunswick, NJ – During an interview that aired yesterday on WPIX’s “News Closeup” with Marvin Scott, Republican Bob Hugin gave a full-throated endorsement of extreme, right-wing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.  In response to a direct question if he believes Kavanaugh is a good choice and expects him to be confirmed by the full Senate, Hugin said, “I haven’t heard anything” that says that “I wouldn’t vote for him, today.  I think he will be approved.”

“It should come as a surprise to no one that Bob Hugin’s all-in on Brett Kavanaugh.  Hugin is a righter-than-right-wing Republican unable and too afraid to stand up to Donald Trump no matter the stakes and no matter how controversial Kavanaugh’s record,” said Menendez for Senate Communications Director Steve Sandberg.  “Hugin is a rubber stamp for Trump, who said he would’ve also voted for Neil Gorsuch and gave $500,000 to the right-wing Heritage Foundation who handpicked both Supreme Court nominees precisely because of their extremist views.  Bob Hugin will never be on our side.”
