Inroads To Opportunities Welcomes New Board Member

Roselle, NJ – The Board of Directors of Inroads to Opportunities is pleased to welcome Mohsen Badran as its newest Board Member. Inroads to Opportunities is a Union County, NJ-based non-profit human services agency that provides programs and services to over 400 individuals with various types of disabilities. The individuals range in age from 16 through retirement, many of whom are economically disadvantaged. Programs and services include vocational preparation, transition from school to work, certificate training programs, day habilitation, and mental health services.

Mohsen has spent the last thirty-five years serving people with disabilities in three states: New York, Georgia, and New Jersey. His career started with Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey. In the years before joining ACCSES NJ, he held President and CEO positions at two rehabilitation organizations.

When asked about his appointment to the Board, Mohsen commented, “I am truly honored to join the Board of Directors of Inroads to Opportunities, and I am proud to support an organization that plays a vital role in our association. Inroads to Opportunities has been a tireless leader of providing vocational preparation, school-to-work transitions, day habilitation, and mental health services. Their unwavering commitment to the mission and advocacy work championed by ACCSES NJ, Inc. is truly inspiring. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities served and to uphold and support our shared mission.”

ABOUT MOHSEN BADRAN:

Mohsen Badran is the President and CEO of ACCSES New Jersey, Inc., a company responsible for providing leadership and support to community-based organizations and administering the state program which employs 2,000 individuals with disabilities. He has 35 years of experience serving people with disabilities. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Alexandria University in Egypt, where he was born and raised.

Since 1959, the Occupational Center of Union County, DBA Inroads to Opportunities, a 501 c3 non-profit, social services agency has been providing programs and services to over 400 individuals annually with various types of disabilities and ranging in age from 16 through retirement, many of whom are economically disadvantaged. Programs and services include transition from school to work, vocational preparation, certificate training programs, job placement & coaching, day habilitation, and mental health services. Based in Roselle, NJ, Inroads to Opportunities supports individuals throughout northern and central New Jersey.

Celebrating its 65th year, Inroads to Opportunities is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an approved provider of the NJ Department of Labor, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and Commission of the Blind and Visually Impaired. Inroads is licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services, NJ Division of Mental Health, and Addiction Services to provide partial care and the Division of Developmental Disabilities to provide Day Habilitation, Pre-Vocational and Transportation Services. Inroads is an approved Medicaid provider and an approved Employment Network under the Ticket to Work Social Security initiative and an approved Benefits Planning and Counseling Service through the NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
