International Tolling Association Names Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti,

Commissioner, State of New Jersey Department of Transportation,

as 2022 IBTTA President

WASHINGTON, DC – The International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) has announced that Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, Commissioner of the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation, will serve as the association’s 2022 President.

“We are thrilled to have Diane at the helm of IBTTA for 2022, where she will employ her vast experience leading large transportation agencies to serve our worldwide association and the tolling community as a whole,” said Pat Jones, Executive Director and CEO of IBTTA. “Roadway infrastructure is facing both challenges and opportunities in the coming year, and Diane will help us meet the moment and continue to advance our mission to promote and enhance user financed transportation.”

Gutierrez-Scaccetti was elected President by the IBTTA membership during IBTTA’s 89^th Annual Meeting & Exhibition this past October. During her one-year term, Gutierrez-Scaccetti will lead the IBTTA Board of Directors, which is composed of five executive officers and 20 directors from agencies and tolling operators from around the world.

“The tolling and road-usage charging community must focus on three things: resilience, leadership and opportunity,” Gutierrez-Scaccetti said, outlining the theme for her IBTTA presidency. “Our industry must shore up what it currently has and ensure we can quickly respond to new challenges, lead the charge for sustainable, user-financed transportation funding, and find new ways to make the most of new opportunities to better serve the road-using public. That’s what my focus will be as IBTTA president, and I’m excited to lead such a vibrant group of professionals at such a pivotal time for the transportation sector.”

A native of New Jersey, Gutierrez-Scaccetti is a transportation professional with more than 32 years in the industry, and 38 years in government service. She possesses extensive executive, operational and planning knowledge. Most recently, the Commissioner served as the Executive Director and CEO at Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, a part of the Florida Department of Transportation, for more than six years. Prior to this assignment, she spent 21 years at the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.
