The Jackson Republican Club, the officially recognized Republican Organization by the NJGOP and the Ocean County GOP, will screen candidates for the Jackson Township Council election to be held in November. Those candidates that wish to receive the Jackson Republican Club endorsement must screen with the organization prior to a vote of the Club’s membership. Those interested must submit the following documents seven (7) days prior to the date of screening to be considered:

    • The office you intend to seek
    • A list of all Social Media accounts maintained by of for the office seeker
    • Explicit Consent to a Background Check

The tentative date of Screening is April 20th, 2020. However, due to the ongoing Covid-19 emergency the time and place of Screening may need to be delayed and changed to comply with existing State Declarations. Candidates are asked for their understanding and for flexibility in a potentially changing timeline.

Candidates winning the support of the Screening Committee will be presented at the Jackson Republican Club Meeting that next follows the screening date. That meeting is – tentatively – the regular April meeting scheduled for April 22nd.
